Robert was born and raised in Cleveland, OH.  He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance.  Soon after graduating, Robert became very interested in pursuing a career in building and real estate.  He purchased two Single Family residential properties with acreage on the East Side of Cleveland with his Father and Sister.  They remodeled 2 homes, subdivided, rented and ultimately sold the properties which ignited the spark to build and create.  Before this, Robert’s Mother, established a successful residential interior design firm. Sometime after, his Sister later joined his Mother to build a nationally acclaimed Commercial Interior Design Firm named CID Design, LLC  now based in Naples, FL. Robert was not only raised by a Mother that designed interior spaces, he was also fortunate enough to have a Father who started a home building company and grew it into one of the largest privately owned single family home building firms in Cleveland, OH.   In summary, Robert’s early life and career had been immersed in building with conscience of design.  Fast forward to 2004, Robert took a position as an assistant Superintendent, then Superintendent and finally Project Manager for construction with CAPREIT, a National Owner and Management Firm of multifamily communities based out of Rockville, MD.   He travelled for the company from 2004 to 2009 with the task of renovating multifamily properties and apartments in OH, MN, FL, PA and IA.  While in MN he met and married his wife and started a family with 2 children.  In 2010, he and his family permanently moved to SW Florida, to raise his family and pursue construction in the SWFL market.  He joined his brother-in-law, the Owner of a custom residential building firm by the name of August Companies from 2010-2012.  He remodeled multiple single family homes and condominiums during that time.  Robert then gained more experience as a Project Superintendent from 2012-2014 with BCBE Construction building his first large single family luxury residence in Royal Harbor.  Afterwards he joined A.Vernon Allen Builders, the oldest builder of Single Family Luxury homes in Port Royal (the most prestigious neighborhood in SWFL). He built and renovated 3 large single family homes in the Port Royal neighborhood from 2014-2017 as a Project Superintendent.  In 2017, Robert was offered a position as Project Manager at BUILD,LLC, a fantastic custom residential and commercial builder based in Naples from 2017-2025.  During that time, Robert estimated and completed numerous custom luxury residential new build and remodel projects in Naples neighborhoods such as The Moorings, Port Royal, Downtown Naples, Aqualane Shores, North Naples and East Naples. In Robert’s personal time- he most enjoys time with his Wife, Daughter, Son and Family.  He also loves fitness and the outdoors.

Robert M. Zella is Father to Robert W.  He was born and raised in Cleveland, OH. His early life began as a machine shop apprentice just out of high school.   He soon after began his career in the world of residential construction as a single family home remodeler.  He built a successful career throughout the late 70’s and early 90’s as one of the largest privately owned single family home builders and developers in Cleveland, OH, having constructed well over 1000 homes, condominiums and multiple residential developments.  After retiring in the mid 90’s- he has spent much of his time in the world of trading the financial markets.  He moved to Naples, FL in 2015 to be closer to his Daughter, Son and other family where he continued his immersion in trading investments.  He decided to become a partner in business with his son to create, manage and launch Zella Building Group in 2025.
